Hi Everyone
We are closing in on the April 30th #GlobalHugIn and I wanted to share a bit of our program with you so that perhaps you will be kind enough to send us your positive energy and thoughts for a loving event.
We will begin our program with an Interfaith gathering and blessings from a Rabbi, a Sikh, a Hindu, an Imam, a Christian, and a B'Hai.
After the blessings and a few words from each,
we will recite two Peace Poems, write in a Peace Notebook our
thoughts/hopes/prayers for Peace, page through a Peace Photo book and
some quotes from Peace Pilgrim, and end by sharing flowers, hugs and
other expressions of friendship so that Love and Peace may radiate
outward to our community and throughout the world.
Our local program will be held in Forest Park, Buddy Monument Lawn - corner of Myrtle Avenue and Park Lane South, in Queens, beginning at 1 PM Eastern Time.
Other events are also going to take place (in their own ways) in Brooklyn, Massachusetts, Florida, California, Ethiopia, Kenya, Canada and Honduras.
