January 23, 1963
Peter Morales, 49 years old, of Wappingers Falls NY, died suddenly as the result of an automobile accident on Friday, June 15, 2012. He was born January 23, 1963 in New York City and was the son of Raul A. Morales of Walden and Luz M. Calo Morales of Pine Bush.
Peter grew up in the Bronx and graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School. He had been a Paramedic in New York City with the FDNY and drove the first ambulance from Lenox Hill Hospital to respond to September 11th. He was a medic for the New York Mets and then became a driver for A1 Yellow Cab in New Paltz. He was a huge Mets fan; a New York Giants fan and was an avid golfer and taught his son to play golf. He loved his family, especially children. He was an usher at the Chapel Falls Christian Church and was a member of the Men’s Prayer Group and worked with the Youth Group at church. He was a Little League manager in the Bronx and took great joy in a trip to the Football Hall of Fame with his son, father, brother, Anthony, and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his beloved son, Justin Morales; his step-son, Gerald Brown; his brothers and sisters, Ricardo Morales of St. James, LI, Anthony Morales and his wife, Ann, of Iowa, Luana Pabon and her husband, Luis, of Conway, SC, Debora Morales of Hopewell Junction and Rachael Bonilla and her husband, Mark, of Walden; nieces and nephews, Maria Morales, Ryan, Erik Morales, Enjoli Guzman, Victoria Torres, Rebecca, Andrew and Alyssa Bonilla; and his grand-nephew, Jackson Morales.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Chapel Falls Christian Church, 4 Nancy Court, Wappingers Falls, NY, www.chapelfalls.org followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations may be made to Peter’s son, Justin, care of the funeral home.
